The Advanced Strength Training course aims to enhance personal trainers’ ability to design progressive long-term programmes for clients wishing to build muscle mass or tone their muscles. Get hands on experience on a variety of advance strength training techniques to overcome plateau, maximize strength gain and promote muscle growth.
Complete Ball Training, 1.5 CEC – 9 Hours Course
Develop strength, power, coordination, balance, and core stability using
the ballast ball, medicine ball, BOSU Ball and stability ball exercises included in Complete Ball Training. Preferred by elite athletes, fitness experts and strength and conditioning specialists, these exercises train the body as
a linked system rather than targeting muscles in isolation. This course is designed for experienced fitness professionals with a solid grounding in personal training as well as for fitness enthusiasts who prefer to design and follow their own programmes.
Essential Flexibility Training, 0.9 CEC – 9 Hours Course
Flexibility is one of the commonly overlooked – but possibly most important – components of an integrated exercise programme. Poor flexibility and muscle imbalances decrease performance and lead to injury. The Advanced Flexibility Training course aims to enhance fitness instructor’s ability to design progressive
long-term programmes for clients wishing to improve their flexibility.
Functional Training & Corrective Exercise, 0.9 CEC – 9 Hours Course
This workshop instructs relevant concepts in functional training and assessment, instructing participants how conduct basic postural assessments and movement screens on their clients effectively, and design restorative exercise programs to address existing postural compensations. Participants will gain a deeper understanding to the mechanics of movement, and learn how to successfully condition the core region and train the primary movement patterns of the human body.
Sports Injuries, 0.9 CEC – 9 Hours Course
While the benefits of physical activity and sports are legion, being physically active may result in negative consequences. Learn about the most common sports injuries, how to prevent them and – should they happen – how to deal with them so that they are minor set-backs rather than career or season ending tragedies.
Sports Nutrition, 0.9 CEC – 9 Hours Course
This course is designed to give you a practical working knowledge of
sport nutrition based on current scientific knowledge. On completion of
the course, you will be able to give good advice on basic sport nutrition
to athletes, fitness leaders and the public interested in improving their nutrition knowledge for health and sport. At the least, you will find the information useful in helping you to reach your nutrition goals. At the end of the course, you will find it easier to determine the best food choices and hopefully will help you feel better, perform better and recover more quickly from training and hard workouts.
Training Clients with Lower Back Pain, 0.6 CEC – 5 Hours Course
Most people probably have suffered lower back pain at least once in their live before and 50% of the people who had lower back pain will have further episodes. Studies have already proven that exercise can help to prevent lower back pain. During this workshop, you will be exposed to major anatomical, physiological, and skeletal and risk factors of lower back pain. Learn how to demonstrate, explain, spot some of the most common exercises used for strength training, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise for clients with low-back pain. You will also learn how to explain the particular health concerns and contraindications for exercise for lower back pain
and design exercise programmes for clients with lower back pain.
Training Older Adults, 0.6 CEC – 5 Hours Course
This Training Older Adults course provides personal trainers with the competency to design personalize, safe and effective exercise programmes for older adults. Personal trainers will gain insights on exercise demonstration, explanation and spotting for older adults.
Training Pregnant & Post – Partum Clients, 0.6 CEC – 9 Hours Course
The Pregnant and Post-Partum Clients course covers the physiological changes associated with pregnancy and explains how these changes require changes in the design of exercise programs for this special population. Both personal training programs and group fitness classes are discussed.
Weight Management through Nutrition & Exercise, 0.8 CEC – 9 Hours Course
This workshop gives Personal Trainer an insight of a structured weight management program by understanding the principles of energy balance. The weight management programme uses the principles of nutritional & exercise programming in helping clients to lose weight, gain muscle and maintain their weight. Participants will be given the opportunity to design safe and effective client centered weight management program.
