This workshop will turn principles into practice by illustrating and practicing movements with some the industries most popular tools along with coaching techniques to ensure exercise purpose will be prioritized over exercise popularity.

Who is the Presenter ?

In his 23 years in the fitness and wellness industry, Chris has

worked with clients and athletes of all levels, specializing in functional movement, sports performance, injury prevention and post-rehabilitation, as well as Lifestyle and Motivational Coaching.

After 10 years of working in commercial fitness clubs as an educator to fitness professionals and master trainer to clients, Chris created Movement First, a name and a company that embodies the philosophy of his training and teachings. Since 2007, Chris, lead by the Movement First philosophy, has continued to work with clients of all levels and has brought his teaching success to new heights, presenting and lecturing across the US and internationally.

In addition to creating and teaching his own courses, Chris is a Master Instructor for the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Functional Movement Systems (FMS), TRX Suspension Training and Star Trac Equipment. Chris’ unique and intuitive teaching style has landed him the respect of top fitness companies in the US and abroad, consulting and educating for IDEA Fitness, Can Fit Pro, Club Industry, NEHRSA, Hospital for Special Surgery (NYC), EA Sports Active, Reebok, Sports Club LA and numerous others.

Chris earned his Bachelors of Science in Health Education at Western Connecticut State University and his Masters of Science in Exercise Science – Sports Performance and Injury Prevention at California University of Pennsylvania.
