What is Myofascial Compression?

Trigger Point Performance Therapy uses Myofascial Compression Technique (MCT) , a revolutionary form of myofascial release that systematically restores tissue elasticity, fluidity and function resulting in reduction, injury prevention and performance enhancement. The results are similar to those from a professional massage therapist but can be achieved on a more regular basis within the comfort of you.

In order to learn Myofascial Release, the instructor,Dimitri  Garcia started off the class with introduction and benefits of Trigger Point Therapy the class watched the video demo on how to work on each muscle group followed by immediate reveal on how trigger point therepy works. The results are immediate and stunning.

After watching video, the class got into Action ! Performing trigger point on about 8 muscles groups which are important in improving efficiency of movement.

Why is it so painful ?

Pain is an indicator of  presence of trigger points along the fascia of the muscle . Pain indicates that you’re releasing the trigger points which are like  knots formed on the fascia of the muscle and you’re re-aligning them.

Fore Example, rolling on the Quadricep muscles can have a great effect on the alignment of the pull of these muscles and prevent possible knee injuries.

Here comes the REVEAL for us…. we performed the trigger point on the left leg and immediately after that we started jumping on left and right  leg and the result was amazing. Left leg was very smooth and weightless  whereas right leg was obviously lacking in mobility. The same goes for your Calf,Hip Flexor,Lattissimus Dorsi , Pectoralis Minor & Thoracic Spine
