Have you not heard? Rehab Trainer is coming to Malaysia!

FITM is proud to be the FIRST Malaysia to run Rehab Express, an introductory course for fitness professional, medical and health professionals to establish injury management for their clients.

What Rehab Express is about?

It’s a dynamic and very practical 1-day workshop introducing Personal Trainers to the 5 principles of R+E+H+A+B as they learn to identify 5 classic muscle imbalances. With new tools they learn how to begin fixing those muscle imbalances – that we all get in life and that will contribute to mild and severe injury. Express is about a very useful introduction into how to powerfully help their clients with injury management the Rehab Trainer way.

Who should attend this workshop? Any pre-requisite?

All Fitness and Allied Health Professionals seeking to understand muscle imbalances, in the context of the unique Rehab Trainer model of skills.

How this skill help personal trainers to stand out among their peer?

Very powerful word-of-mouth takes place when you help a client with their biomechanical problems and they feel improvements happening. This is spreading the word of your skills and helps grow your confidence, credibility and business in new ways that compliment your Fitness work.

Is this skill easy to apply to practice?

Very easy to learn and applicable to almost every client!

If you are motivated and passionate to help clients with their niggling injuries and body problems, then our face to face courses will transform your business.

We get questions like this from our students: what are the differences between Rehab Express and Corrective Exercises?  Are they the same thing?

Rehab Trainer courses are mostly face-face teaching courses by elite Sports Physiotherapists who have spent their whole working career fixing injuries. Trainers will be able to integrate new skills and knowledge through feedback and free flowing ideas from the educators.

p/s: Corrective exercise teaches you the rationale of designing strategy and methodology driving corrective exercise; inhibiting overactive myofascial tissue, lengthening, and activating muscle tissue, and progressing into functional, integrated movement for traditional fitness or performance-based programs based on NASM OPT model.

About the educator, ULRIK LARSEN

Rehab Trainer Founder and Educator, APA Sports Physiotherapist
Rehab Trainer was founded by highly experienced Australian Sports Physiotherapist Ulrik Larsen, who brings with him 20 years of injury management at elite and social sports levels. After years of working with coaches and Personal Trainers, Ulrik realised that one of the main frustrations for Fitness Professionals was dealing with chronic pain and niggling injuries in their clients. Whether it is the re-emergence of an old football injury or the sudden onset of pain while doing a particular exercise, if not dealt with effectively, clients ended up dropping out, creating a hole in the Trainer’s diary and disillusionment for the client. Ulrik realised the need for some education to bridge the gap between the medical world and the fitness industry, and so Rehab Trainer was born.

Can you tell us more about yourself and your career?

Career highlight: Commonwealth Games Physiotherapist at Kuala Lumpur in 1998! Since 2006 I have been seriously working with enthusiastic Personal Trainers and developing the range of Rehab Trainer courses.

Who do you work with currently?

Internationally we are close partners with Sportsline from HK and KINE Academy from Iceland – we have many partners who we love working with to enhance how we can help Personal Trainers in injury management.
