What’s this course about?

Today’s clients’ needs are no longer just about lifting dumbbells to bulk up in the gym or running on the treadmill to lose weight. They currently have a wide range of goals such as training to run 10K in less time, jumping higher in basketball or hitting the ball harder while playing tennis.

Training clients to achieve these goals requires an understanding of the movement skills, muscles and types of energy system that are being used in various activities as well as how to prevent injuries related to such activities. Trainers require a better understanding of specific movements in sports, of the various forms of training to improve sports performance, of program design fundamentals and of equipment selection options.

People who have a background in personal training who would like to incorporate sports conditioning approaches in their training. Fitness enthusiast, gym instructor, fitness instructor, personal trainer, group fitness instructors, physical education teachers and general public.
